𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 | @thedukenw3 have recently launched a new menu and I went down last week to try their Sunday roast. Let’s cut right to the chase; it’s in my top 3. Everything about this was perfect. Firstly, the quality of meat. We went for the roast beef and the pork shoulder. They’ve made sure that they only use the best quality for these roasts, and it really shows. The beef was incredible, the nicest roast beef I’ve ever had for a Sunday lunch. Not fatty at all, cooked perfectly, seasoned well, plus a really good portion. The pork was perfectly crispy on the outside with the cracking, a soft buttery layer of fat underneath, and then the meat itself was juicy and full of flavour. The potatoes were perfect. Soft and fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside. The Yorkshire puddings too were the best I’ve had in a restaurant. Usually this part is the biggest let down. You can usually tell they’re pre cooked by how hard and powdery they are when you bite into them, they almost disintegrate. But these were fresh tasting, light and fluffy. The gravy was good too. It was already poured onto the roast before it’s served. I’m fine with this, but maybe others wouldn’t be. Bonus, you can order more roast potatoes, which I ALWAYS want to do. Granted, this roast was big enough anyway, and with the starters we had maybe we didn’t need the extra, but I love that it’s a choice. The Duke of Hamilton is a cute small pub in Hampstead serving top restaurant quality dishes. There’s nothing pubby about their food as they’re really focusing on quality. 100% check out their roasts, but you HAVE to book. Also, it’s dog friendly, there’s dogs EVERYWHERE. . . . . . #hampstead #sundayroast #sundaydinner #roastdinner #roastbeef #roastpork #porkcrackling #londonroast #yorkshirepudding #roastpotatoes #gravy (at The Duke of Hamilton NW3) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5fjgG8lWoe/?igshid=724se5cswx1l
