Goth Musician Sindy Gets Crafty With Popsicle Sticks, Coffins & Haunted Houses
Apparently, I have a new hobby.
It started innocently enough. Somebody gave me a box of popsicle sticks and suggested I make something creative. You know, maybe a little house. A picture frame. Something cute.
So naturally, I made a coffin.
Once you've built your first tiny wooden coffin, though, it's difficult to stop. Suddenly I'm buying glue by the bottle, finding popsicle sticks in places I definitely don't remember putting them, and wondering whether a handcrafted spirit board technically counts as home décor. For the record, Tiffany says it does not.
Then came the haunted house. I may have gotten slightly carried away with that one. But if you're going to spend hours gluing tiny pieces of wood together, you might as well build somewhere you'd actually want to live. Give me Gothic windows, creepy towers and something mysterious glowing upstairs. That's curb appeal.
I've learned something important from all of this: crafting is incredibly relaxing right up until you glue yourself to the furniture. And yes, before anyone asks, I still have plenty of popsicle sticks left.
That should probably concern everyone.
