My excerpts are likely to be sporadic now, as I'm really getting bogged down with work and coursework and everything inbetween. But I'd still like to share a little bit from the fic I'm writing for the YuGiOh Big Bang. “Kura!” Ryou jumped up from the table with a gleeful smile, rushing over to throw his arms round Bakura’s shoulders. Bakura stiffened, but allowed the close contact only because it was Ryou; anyone else who tried that would get a broken nose. “How have you been?” Ryou asked as he pulled away. Oh, you know, the usual, Bakura thought. Drunk, depressed, and wishing I was at the bottom of a well somewhere so I’m not a bother to you ever again. But he couldn’t take Ryou’s hurt looks anymore, so instead he just gave a non-committal grunt and crossed the room to put the kettle on. “Just busy with work,” he told Ryou. “I gather you’ve been the same with university.”
