Designing Your Backyard Around Your Pool
A pool should be a statement piece in your backyard. With many different options for both above ground and inground pools, the type of pool you have can influence the landscaping of your backyard. While privacy and safety are two very important items for consideration, you don’t have to compromise on aesthetics when selecting designs.
Backyard Designs for Above Ground Pools
There are many different ways to style an above ground pool. Some of the most popular ideas are installing raised garden beds, bushes, or using stone to surround the area. Plantings such as a garden bed can bring a much needed pop of color into an otherwise monochrome backyard. Bushes can also act as a great privacy barrier around the pool. In addition, installing a deck leading up to the pool can help ground it to the area and give a more completed finish.
Backyard Designs for Inground Pools
Inground Pools can be trickier to work with, as there is a better chance for debris to enter the water and cause damage. One work around this would be to plant various ornamental grasses in the area around your pool. A few other ideas are to include stunning features such as fountains or screened in areas. While both of these options are a bit pricey, they can provide a feeling of complete tranquility in your backyard oasis.
