The Israel Putnam House- Danvers, Massachusetts, built circa 1648. American Revolution General #IsraelPutnam was born here in 1718. . Danvers was once Salem Village, and Putnam’s parents were outspoken against the #SalemWitchTrails in 1690, signing a petition defending the accused #RebeccaNurse (who was later executed). . As a young man, Israel moved to Pomfret, Connecticut where he famously slew the “last wolf in Connecticut”.
