When your flower husbands/ranchers/flower ranchers oneshot is still a WIP but has already reached 3k words and is still growing... And it looks like it has the possibility to expand beyond the bounds of Double Life... Into a larger fic... Because you’re writing a fic about good communication between poly partners and they’re all so easy to write and ship together.
Gosh, the original snippet can be found here, but it’s gotten much longer and I can’t wait to see how far I go with it. It’s got Scott, Jimmy, Tango, Impulse, and, so far, vaguely Zedaph and one Bdubs interaction. Plus possibly more expansive lists of partners? We’ll have to see if this actually grows beyond the oneshot phase.

Despite being in another war, they haven't forgotten about their bf
I have an AU idea for Doc and Bdubs where they’re divorced and Tango is Doc’s adopted son.
They separated years before Doc adopted Tango.
Doc initiated the divorce. The reason was because of unrest in the relationship after 6 years of marriage.
Tango doesn’t know anything about Bdubs because Doc practically erased all of Bdubs touch to the house and his memories.
Keralis and Bdubs married around 3 years after Bdubs and Doc separated.
Doc adopted Tango a couple years (2-ish) after the divorce.
Doc is still single, as he’s more focused on his business ventures (a bar and a nightclub).
Tango is in high school (sophomore at the beginning of the AU) and is really close to Zedaph and Impulse.
Tango practically lives with Zedaph or Impulse at any given time.
Doc works 24-7, leaving Tango to do whatever.
Tango meets Keralis and Bdubs after a small incident involving a RC truck Tango built crashed into a bush on their lawn. The bush was okay, but it spooked Keralis.
Tango doesn’t know them other than they’re Zed’s neighbors.
