It's extremely important to step outside of your comfort zone from time to time. Surrounding yourself with unfamiliar people in an unfamiliar environment can teach you so much about yourself. This weekend @Tayssickthoughts and I took a chance and accepted an invitation to The 2nd Annual Fashion & Polo Classic, an event we initially felt would be too classy for our own comfort. My perception of the sport horsing world was that of seersucker suits, big hats, and big egos. What we found however, was a festive congregation of unique individuals who know how to party (and drink!) while conducting themselves in a tasteful manner. We drove to this expansive ranch in the heart of Alpharetta, parked our Prius, and were chauffeured from the lot to the lush Polo grounds in a big body Bentley. Upon arrival we were directed to the @greygoose VIP lounge and met with a complimentary craft cocktail demonstration, a live band, some amazing food, and an array of beautiful people dressed to the nines. After eating our fill and mingling we proceeded out to the polo pitch (ya'll see my sports commentating skills) to admire the beautiful horses and watch the match. (Polo is basically high speed field hockey on horses.FYE!) I couldn't tell you who won but without a doubt this was an extremely refreshing experience. Big thanks to @ingibbswetrust for the invite! Long story short.. Never be afraid to enter a room and talk to some strangers.
