the moonbase thoughts
- not my favourite of the two cybermen stories so far. i preferred tenth planet.
- these cybermen faces are much creeper though (ft. me two seconds later giggling at the obvious suit zipper)
- seeing them float away at the end was also hilarious
- polly was better in this than the last story (but lovely bit of 60s era misogyny in there unfortunately)
- i realised we are now closer to the story’s setting in 2070 than we are the year it aired (1967) which is insane
Polly ran full pelt across the room and Ben caught her in his arms. She tried to swing him round but was too exhausted. "Duchess!" he cried joyfully. "Oh, love. Are you OK? What's been happening?" Polly practically crushed the young sailor in her embrace.
