We were in that part of the country that was so affected by Chernobyl that they had to iodine the salt here to an extra level and it's actually really hard to get normal salt (from what I heard)

So many people drown here that it's a reoccurring joke to not look at weird things in the river or not too stare too long into some river bushes because there's an actual chance that you will in fact find a few weeks old body

In fact so many things not only people drowned here that the river water smells fucking weird (safe to drink somehow? Idk how that works)

People used to kill eachother so violently here and it's such a commonplace to talk about it y'all....i knew the eagle torture method and that it's possible to make kotlety out of people by the age of 5

There's a place where you literally have to be careful how you walk because people were literally eating others specifically in that area and some of those contraptions are still in place and you might just have an unlucky day, fall down and what then

The town has weather so bad that people from here went around it 3 times while praying the rosary and it worked

Oh we also have catacombs where there are legends about people getting torn to pieces by random beasts hiding in the shadows. Only the victims have seen them.
