Going through the archives, I found one of my most favorite shots of one of my most favorite humans @gildentunador . 💗✨ I am so beyond grateful to have her in my life. Everyone should be so lucky. Gilden is such an inspiration to me. Always approaching situations with love, warmth and gratitude. She is also an incredible artist. She is in the band @figgband , who released a beautiful album just last year. This image was shot on the film Polapan with a Pentax K1000—I was obsessed with this film and I still have this camera. I still love all my work on Polapan! I remember spending time on the beach shooting things as well as processing the film right there and trying desperately not to have one grain of sand destroyed an entire roll! Those of you who know this film and process know exactly what I’m talking about! It’s a magical process and looking back at how I started and why everything for me started in the darkroom!
