my varoom is getting a little older, and i've been trying to help her find a good rock to move onto as the one i caught her with is getting really tiny. she's so picky though! i took her back to the area where i caught her, and we've been picking through the local stones together to find a suitable new host rock for her. i keep seeing ones with beautiful wheel shapes ready to go, and she just turns her nose up at them and rumbles on! do you have any tips on what she might be looking for that i' just not considering?
sounds like you've got a picky eater on your hands! aside from giving them a little extra heft for bashing into foes with, the rock acts as a major source of nutrition for varoom. since captive varoom have other minerals provided to them to supplement their diet, their choice in rock tends to come down to taste.
take her original rock to a geologist to have it analyzed and identified. that way you can know what you're looking for. check out the ingredients list on your mineral mix too! young varoom need a greater concentration of iron in their diet than older varoom, so if you've been feeding a high-iron mix, you might want to talk to your vet about switching to something more suitable for how old she is.
