Beta designs for my baby OCs :3
The story doesn't start until long after they've both had their evolutions, so these wouldn't really be seen much, but I thought it'd be fun to draw them anyway.
Nnnnnot sure if I like them though?? But it's okey it's a first attempt Xp and I just did this on a whim because thinking about them has been distracting me from my other work sooo yeagh. I'll have plennnty of time to refine the designs 'n such.
Gosh I wasn't expecting Scarlet's plainness as an eevee to be a problem, but she does look kinda weird next to Dotty. That'd be fine if the contrast was the point, but- oh hm I do kinda see one way I could make that about The Themes. Not sold on it though so back to what I was saying...!
It's funny, because Scarlet's evolved form is really complicated xD but I can't think of much anything to throw in when she's an eevee. Even evolved, most of her notable design features are things she acquired over time, rather than anything innate. So I don't really have anything to reflect onto her eevee form before all the stuff happens. Ah well...!! I'll figure something out eventually X)
