🏛️ Where the Rivers Meet and the Story Splits in Two Point Pleasant sits at the exact geographic seam where the Kanawha River empties into the Ohio, right on the West Virginia–Ohio state line, about 45 miles north of Charleston. Went to a little antique shop (I LOVE small town antique shops) where I bought a tea cup, and to the Mothman Museum, which was pretty neat!

They had some original documents, including parts of diaries from witnesses and an early draft of Keel's book. Also a bunch of props from the movie, and some historical artifacts from the time, including a few pieces of rubble from the bridge collapse.

And then like, dioramas and standees with written explanations of the sightings and different explanations and the bridge collapse and the aftermath with Keel and the so-called men in black and everything.

My partner had been there before but said it was expanded this time. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through! My kid picked out a plushie, I met an artist who makes really fabulous mothman dolls (currently out of stock on etsy), I finally picked up a copy of Operation Trojan Horse, and then we all went to lunch.

And inexplicably found these potato chips?? I did not try them 😂
