I guess the whole point of how unfulfilling Alan’s goodbye note was in comparison to the revelations we’ve seen him make about his children and the role he’s had in the dissolution of his relationships with them, was like…. That’s how death is. Even if you get a chance to say goodbye… it’s not going to be everything you wanted it to be. Things will be left out, your life is cut short. You are left with unfulfilled things. But you move on anyhow. It just hurt bc I saw so much promise w him either slightly healing or completely ruining his relationship w Ezra in the future.
