I've always asked people what they think the most prominent human emotion is? Always have got an wide array of answers ranging from happiness to grief, all due to different reasons. But you know what I think? I think that fear is and has always been the most prevalent emotion in a being, not just humans but all organisms. And this fear makes us do crazy things. We earn because we're scared of poverty, we eat because we're scared of malnutrition, we love because we're scared to be alone, we wage wars because we're scared that someone will take away something that belongs to us, we push people away because we're too scared to be attached, and to feel. We thrive because we're scared of absence, of death. We live because we are afraid to know what happens otherwise. This fear pushes over the edge and makes us try harder to thrive, this fear is what makes us realize we're alive. The choices we make because of this, trigger a domino effect on all our lives. And these choices are what we have to live with. If I had the choice to go back in time, I wouldn't go to see the Queens performing live, although Bohemian Rhapsody still gives me goosebumps each time. I wouldn't go to live those old moments with everyone, although I'd love to. There's only one place I'd go back to when we were unaware of each other before the night when we set upon our own domino effect, just so I could meet you sooner and tell you sooner "Hey, it's me. Let's go out. I'm afraid. " I'm afraid of losing time. But, I guess that's what makes me human. -@societydriven_lunatic Art by 🖼️: @henn_kim //Thank you so much for such an amazing piece! _____________________________________ #letterstomyself #spilledink #bleedink #poetsig #instapoetry #black #dark #fear #writersofinstagram #time #fromtheheart #poetsofinstagram #poetscommunity #mirakee
