I ought to stay auburn of you

you relish my presence

and I ruminate you

but you turned to be the renegade

fleeting, that night in February

it somehow grew

awakening this muscle memory

I found myself sinking

but I didn’t swim

for I knew your love wasn’t evergreen

that’s when you came

looking through your eyes

I see paradise

you’re a language

I can’t unlearn

you turned water into dew

wine tastes sweeter

knowing that it won't make you mine

I let it burn while I was waiting for the sign

the rain kept pouring from the sky

you lost your way home that night

so I peered at the stars to align

but the rifts got bigger as the time passed by

then the answer starts to linger around

rose colored glasses,

I search for me

Each line and stroke

I decode

From oceans to land

I go back and forth

flickering flames cast long shadows

my crimson lips,

your sunset eyes

the tumultuous whisper

I never listen

for me to see the twilight

I thought dawn

every street took the fifth

Happy memories 

and sad endings 

lost something 

yet found new beginnings

heart emptied

now ready for great things 

tears run dry 

now there are sparkles in the eyes

from the light of hope

and courage to keep going.

It was night

when you said hi

I didn’t know

I’ll fall with your lies

But what can I do

when it was you?

we just met

but now I have to say goodbye.

At least for a day,

you reminded me again

the feeling when you love

but you have to walk away.
