Everything has been so much scarier recently, it's been hard being online. Specifically to do with the ICE murders. I understand everyone sharing and joining in solidarity to push back - it is needed - and I can't lie it's so exhausting as a black woman. I've seen enough murder and killing of my own people in my personal life to last a lifetime. Shots ringing corners as black people are killed and no one cares. And I have such conflicted feelings on the response of the American (mainly white population) people, its amazing to constantly be reminded who truly matters. I have nightmares I'll be picked off the street if I venture too far from my uni base, but it's not like they can't already get me here.
