one thing i dont understand is how some people are like “oh love is a strong word; only use it when you mean it” like?? i do mean it a lot? but people treat it like its a rare commodity??? like?? no i am so fuc kin g full of love. 

I love my girlfriend, i love all my friends, i love my pets, i love chocolate, i love swimming, i love music, i love drawing, I'm just? so much love???? i just dont understand how people can just? not??? love a lot of shit??

Answer: it was both.

Alright, let me back up and explain: by it being both, I mean that Ranboo was actually within the prison’s walls on an actual tour, but his perception of reality was growing increasingly distorted throughout the visit because he is slipping into the sleepwalk/enderwalk state. This fills in literally every single gap produced in the fully hallucination or fully real theories.

Let’s start off with the entrance and the nether not being the right one: I genuinely think this was just technical error. As confirmed by Ranboo, that scene took place on a different server, and the nether did not duplicate alongside the rest of the world. This would explain why the nether side portal was different. Sometimes there are little mistakes.

How about Sam and the book? Well, keep in mind, this is a distressing situation for Ranboo. You can literally see him getting nervous more and more throughout the visit. He could have perceived Sam as more friendly than he was as a comfort mechanism. The same applies to the book, which we know to be something that Ranboo takes solace and comfort in; it is his lifeline. Therefore, to bring comfort in this distressing situation, his mind could’ve bent over backwards to put it in his hands again.

This also explains how he knew what the prison looked like. He was there in-person, fully real. His perceptions of events were inaccurate, but he was still going through the prison in reality, thus avoiding the issue of him not knowing its layout prior and, therefore, not being able to accurately dream about it.

How did Dream have the memory books? He didn’t. As soon as memory boy got in the room with Dream, he started having a borderline breakdown. He is utterly terrified of Dream, and he, by his own previous admission, has a habit of making things worse than they are. His perception is already faulty, and Dream does have actual books, so the distortion could be easy to make.

Why was Dream talking in the third person? Well, Ranboo was full-on panicking at that moment due to the previous delusion about the books, putting him in a state of immense distress. We know for a fact that Ranboo blacks out in states of distress. We also know that the Dream Voice remembers the blackout moments, indicating that it is present and active during those blackouts/sleepwalk periods. We can then conclude from that point that Ranboo’s distress is putting him into a blackout state over time, making the Dream voice appear in his head, this time with a physical appearance due to his enhanced panic due to being so close to Dream. The Dream Voice talks about Dream in the third personal always. So that wasn’t actually Dream talking, that was the Dream Voice manifesting auricularly and visually.

How did Dream vanish and how did the prison collapse? This is the culmination of the delusion and breakdown. Ranboo is verging on blacking out and entering the sleepwalk state, and then he literally does. The Dream voice says that he was never real, vanishes, and then the world literally falls apart as Ranboo falls unconscious.

Okay, assuming this is correct, what does sleepwalking Ranboo do? I have no idea but I am Afraid.

children are not stupid, they are reckless and curious

if you just spit out rules and ultimatums with no justification, or if you sound overly paranoid, or if you tell them to basically never trust anyone online with anything personal, they will not listen to you. why? because that’s literally not how the internet works. like i’m sorry but people divulge information about themselves all the goddamn time. like saying “only use your online pseudonym and never confess any part of you or your existence” is such moronic advice straight out of the late 2000s, and i still see it getting passed around.

kids, here’s more reasonable advice that you’ll probably listen to: only tell people your name after you’ve known them for a good time and trust them, but only ever tell them your first name

another piece of advice i see peddled a lot is “never tell anyone anything about where you live at all ever.” this is also stupid advice to give to a minor because they will not listen

kids, more sound advice that you might listen to: don’t give out the name of your town or county. use vague descriptors and/or states, any only say it in private. i say “oh yeah i live in pennsylvania, kinda near [descriptor i would use in private but this is tumblr so yall dont get to know]”

for context, that descriptor is a massive natural feature that goes through a lot of pennsylvania. nobody can ping my fucking location from those 2 facts.

anyways, back to adults: if you wanna know how you sound to kids, you sound like parents who say “only go to and from school along this specific route, never go past these 2 streets, curfew is 7pm, and no parties or drinking at all ever. do any of those and you’re grounded for a week”

ever hear of how the strictest parents always end up with the most reckless, least safe, and biggest liars for kids? it’s because they enforce such strict rules.

if y’all want to actually help, please for the love of god stop being stupid and (a) get with modern internet culture, (b) listen when the group you’re trying to help speaks, and (c) stop being paranoid
