Amycus has been a character of mine since my early days of roleplaying. While he's gone through several incarnations during my tenure of playing him, he'll always hold a rather special place in my heart, reserved solely for this sick, twisted, convoluted murderer of mine. The first time I played Amycus, he was a sixth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and in love with darling Gwenog Jones. I can't remember the exact context of it, unfortunately, only that their epic little romance ended in a brawl on the top of Ulm Cathedral in Germany with Xenophilius Lovegood and his Squib sister, Hattie Lovegood. That same Amycus Carrow went on to fall in love with Hattie, build a family and a life with her, and turn out to be a rather decent guy in the end. The Amycus I play today is rather different. He's darker, scarier, and colder than his previous incarnation. He's more willing to get his hands dirty, to do the difficult things, to put himself in the midst of danger and come out on the other side unscathed. He has more scars than he can count, from battle and the atrocities of his childhood. Most importantly, however, Amycus Carrow is a man that is utterly loyal to his family. Despite the Dark Mark branded permanently into his arm, Amycus would - and has - leave Voldemort's forces in a heartbeat if he thought it would keep Alecto and his mother, Katrina, safe and alive. Later, this extends to one Lily Evans under command from his mother. F i d e s  p r i m a. Loyalty first. And to the Carrows, their family motto is the ultimate promise.
