well, despite the shitshow of my life, I did get to do a needle demo yesterday. very cool stuff. Notes are under the cut for the squeamish
- on the bottoming side: I have no phobia of the needle aspect, but the fear of pain or mishap was pretty intense. It was not actually all that painful, except I got one bad one. Often times the exit was more painful than the entry.
- I anticipated it being worse when people were going slowly, but it was totally fine. I felt better about it when it was slow because it felt like the inexperienced piercer was using more control. that being said, the experienced piercer was able to throw those things in me like nothing, which was nicest
- the piercers were very good about waiting for me to say go, and then giving me a countdown. Felt very good to be able to take a deep breath or two and have them wait patiently. It gave me a sense of control, that was immediately relinquished as they put a fucking needle in my body. The light push/pull of control was great.
- fucking awesome to touch the needles in my skin and fuck with them. extremely cool sensation. the pain was a radiant ache, with sparkles of stinging when I was fucking a needle.
- the needle that was very painful to insert was also a bleeder when it came out. fascinating. We weren’t doing blood play for this demo but I felt the draw for sure
- when it was my turn to pierce, it was sooo much easier to pierce using the needle cap to press down on the targeted exit than it was to pinch the skin
- much easier than I thought it would be actually! hey did you know? Your flesh is weak to tiny blades.
- the teacher recommended learning this as an ambidextrous skill, which I think will be easier for me since I’m left handed and already have to switch a lot of skills.
