The Countryside Diaries — part #3 (First Day of Summer Special)
HAPPY PRIDE MONTH! and also congratulations on the “official” start of the countryside season to meee :з we stayed there for just a few hours today, but soon we’re planning on coming there for a few days. and, i must admit, i preferred relaxing and enjoying nature more than working this time teehee ^_^
met some toads of various sizes! this one was the bravest out of them and allowed me to take a photo :)
the plants are growing well and some of them are blooming or getting ready to! but the weeds are doing great as well so i suppose we’ve got lots work to do next time we stay there. as i’ve said before, we don’t aim for a perfect garden but some flowerbeds definitely require a clearer space…
oh, and we’ve planted the veggies we prepared this year. they kinda look bad in this pic but i hope they’re just stressed from more than an hour in the car and the planting process </3
and i have a good hair day soo i had to post these selfies ;-;
can’t wait till we get to live there longer !!
let me show you. The Coolest plant i have
reviving my plants (part 1)
soo uhh as the first proper post for my new plants-related tag i'm going to show you my journey of reviving, like, all of my plants.. ;-; i spent all winter trying to find the reason they're feeling this bad, got rid of the pest i noticed one day but they kept dying anyway.. luckily, spring has cheered me up a bit, especially when it comes to taking care of plants, so i decided to believe in myself and help them grow back out no matter what.
the results i got in slightly more than 2 weeks look exciting !!
before vs after
the first thing i did was repot them cause i thought the pest might still be in the soil. i didn't have any extra pots apart from the plastic ones though, but i decided to keep them like that for now. and i was worried i touched the roots too roughly but yay, the marantas felt much better anyway !!
the roots of one of my marantas:
after repotting i cut all the dead leaves and made a "greenhouse" for each of my marantas using plastic bags. a few days later their leaves uncurled. then, new ones started to actively appear. and now, three of my babies are blooming !! some of them are still struggling much more but i don't want to give up on them this easily </3
going to try to revive both of my ficus trees next. wish me luck! (-_-)7
spirea <3 i wish i could attach its honey scent to the post too. it was so intense, i could hardly breathe near the bush

FINALLY The Countryside Diaries — part #2
it’s been quite some time since we went there huh… but it was either that my family didn’t have time for this or the weather was so bad that we didn’t see a point of such a long ride ;-;
usually we don’t really care about a perfect garden and are pro-biodiversity in as many ways as possible, but i really wanted to look at bugs so i removed some of the weeds and..
look at this babieeee !! i tried to put it away from where i was working but it was sooo scared when i tried to move it somewhere else :( + my palm to show how tiny it was
and another friend of mine ^_^ a long creature…
more countryside vibes for you all :)
actually we have a big problem this year. one of the apple trees fell down on another tree and it bent under its weight.. mom removed most of the apple tree’s branches but we thought we could maybe return the second tree to its natural state? we went for the method from the local fairytale about a turnip: grandma grabbed me, i grabbed mom, mom grabbed the rope that was attached to the tree… “they’re pulling and pulling — can’t pull it out…” and it didn’t work ;-; so next time my mom and i will cut down both of the trees. i’m going to miss them :(
but some plants made me happy, just like the barberry that decided to bloom for the first time this year !! (and that means there’ll be berries too?!) and the lavender we planted last summer has survived the winter and smells really good <3
oh, and a single daffodil bloomed specifically for me, their biggest lover on the entire planet ^_^
we’re in a traffic jam on our way to the city now. i’m really dizzy because i definitely overworked myself today which i’m NOT proud of ;-; but we had soooo little time and SO Much To Do UGH. hopefully we’ll be able to stay for a few days there soon.
stay tuned~
my peperomia bloomed for the first time! ;-; i haven't even repotted it yet but aww she said "i love you :)" and gave me a pretty flower !!!
did y’all miss the countryside posts?!
well the countryside season is back so YAY !! and this year i thought that instead of reviving @borzoiplants i’m going to post my countryside diaries on my main tagged as #plantics along with the posts about my houseplants ^_^
the first things i saw there today were: a jay, a very cool bug (i’m going to check its name in the book once i’m back home) and an unknown flower i’ve seen in the city too.
a minne spotted in their natural habitat !!! my first and only task was to form the spirea bush so it grows and blooms better in summer. it seems like this year will be busy, from cutting down the fallen apple tree and fixing what it smashed to figuring out what to do with the mole that lives in our yard now…
and of course the art was created… :) looking forward to doodling more this summer !!
we’re on our way home now and i really can’t wait till we come back there next week(?) ;(( so wait for more updates !!
