You may be old, but are you old enough to remember the Black Death?
Then you might just be a vampire.

a moment of silence for all our goth doctors that live in hot and or humid areas this summer, don’t let the plaguefit give you a heatstroke
I laughed way too hard at this.

25th May 1720, French merchant ship "Le Grand St Antoine" docks in the port of Marseille France after sailing from the Middle East. On board the ship are two passengers showing signs of the bubonic plague. The ship is quarantined, but as the ship’s owner is also the Mayor of Marseille, the cargo is allowed to be unloaded, whereupon infected rats escape into the city. The resulting outbreak is the last major plague outbreak in Western Europe, as part of the second pandemic, which between the 14th and 18th century repeatedly struck Europe. Over the next two years around 100,000 people died throughout France, despite the construction of ‘plague walls’ in neighbouring cities. Despite the gradual decline of the bubonic plague during the 18th century, other pandemics would rise to take their place such as smallpox, typhus and cholera.
