Someone is still very gloomy from last night. He'll just take over the couch and eat cereal by shoveling handfuls into his mouth and washing it down with the entire gallon of milk.Â
Julien is making a mug of chamomile tea for Des, after her rather exhausting "performance" battle earlier in the week. Tea helps calm Julien down, and Des has seemed..very on edge, with good reason of course. Hopefully, tea will help her, too.Â
"Battle" Day
He probably got about an hour of sleep the previous night, but Liam is feeling wide awake, seated on a bench in the locker room, rolling his baseball bat in his lap. Not much else to do, besides wait till it begins. Waiting is agonizing. Liam won't be doing any killing with his weapons today, but the uncertainty of what's to come of this is terrifying. He can't get the word "terminated" out of his head. There's no way Bathory would kill them both, right? Wouldn't that just make shit worse for her? Liam plans to follow this through to the end, but he..just really doesn't want to die.Â
Some time passes, and suddenly Liam hears the announcement for battle: Liam Fitzpatrick vs. Jose Estrada. His heart is hammering, his extremities are shaking, he nearly drops his bat. But, he manages to stand and exit through the doors. Â
Finally freed of the wheelchair, Julien has "graduated" to her crutches. Not that it makes her stand out any less, hobbling around with giant metal leg attachments. If she had the freedom, she'd stay in her room all day. But, one does need to eat. And use the bathroom. And she did promise to do extra base chores during her recovery.
She resigns herself to washing the towers of dishes. As disgusting as it is to touch other people's used dishes, at least she doesn't have to move around.

Arrival at Upward
His things packed away in two suitcases, Marek looked up at the new base. He honestly hadn't expected to be admitted to a base so quickly, but what was, was. Rolling his shoulders back, the man walked in and found his room, leaving his door open as he unpacked. Open doors made things easier to meet people and meeting people meant for information and good conversation alike. He already knew a few people who worked here, but not everyone.
Hopefully he could change that.
