In our universe, Cosmog that grow up to be Lunala and Solagleo are eligible to be selected to help safeguard Necrozma. Only one Necrozma can exist in Ultra Space, as it disrupts the natural balance otherwise.

Being Necrozma’s shepherd is the highest honor for our kind! Vekpa was initially chosen but decided to shirk his duty and vanished centuries ago.

And that is why I was selected to watch Cipher.

Cipher is a special case… not only are they missing their light, but also their other half… It seems to believe that this other half is here on Earth, so here we are!
