As expected, Alex didn't approach the tattoo parlor until the neon sign was turned off and the shutters down, but the door was left unlocked.
Walking in, she followed the only source of light a the very back of the shop. She could hear Kara rummaging around in the back room, and knowing the reason for her being there, she shrugged off her suit jacket and folded the sleeves of her shirt.
That night marked the start of a new life for Kara, and it all had to start with the mark of the beast. The excited glint in hazel eyes couldn't be hidden, even as she made herself comfortable in Kara's chair. The same chair they had christened not too long ago.
