oh  HELL  no !!  hester would not be playing the “creepy noises from an omniscient stalker” game ––  at least  not when SHE’S the one being stalked !!  “ just ––  come out and SAY it , ”  the girl quips ,  already BORED of this.  the end of her curfew was drawing near and she needed to get back to the asylum before dark.  those were the rules.
