A very common and widespread species in closed or open forest and shrub-land, and shaded canyon walls, and other rocky locations. Extremely drought resistant, surprisingly for such a delicate fern.

Piri Piri chicken comes from both Portugal and Africa. It is a tasty and spicy dish. Spice lovers love it because of its strong seasoning and fiery kick.

Ingredients: 4 chicken thighs. 4 chicken drumsticks. 4 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons lemon juice. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 2 tablespoons paprika. 1 tablespoon dried oregano. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. Salt and pepper to taste.

Instructions: Preheat oven to 400F 200C. In a small bowl, mix together minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, paprika, oregano, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Place chicken thighs and drumsticks in a large baking dish. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the chicken pieces. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and golden brown, flipping halfway through cooking. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
