alright, i came across this lovely list by pinup-cal the other day about being best friends with michael, which you can find here, and i was inspired, to say the least! sooo, thank you so much for allowing me to expand on your list and here we goooooo.

It was late at night, and you would give just about anything to be in bed, but today was the day that Michael was finally coming back from tour and you promised him, after many whiney and pleading text messages, to meet him at the airport.

Despite the fact that it was some ungodly hour in the morning and there was no sun to be seen, you could hear the diligent fans chatting amongst themselves and waiting to potentially get a picture or hug from one of the guys.

You, on the other hand, stood in the back, leaning on a pillar and absorbed by the music pumping through your headphones. Their planes had an awful habit of being late and you knew better than to get too excited right away.

Moments passed as you kept listening with a sleepy state of mind when you felt your eyes being covered by something soft. Your smile grew immediately, knowing he was finally back.

"Guess who." He laughed.

"Michael, perhaps." You mused.

"Nope. It's boobs." He answered, taking his sweater paws off of your eyes and finally getting to look at you face-to-face. Tired green eyes with bags underneath them stared back at you, but they seemed happy, which was what really mattered to you.

His arms enveloped you in a hug and you'd be lying if you said you didn't miss his warm body pressed against yours. You missed breathing in his scent and having a shoulder you could always lean on. Six months was a long time without your partner in crime and you couldn't wait to get back to business with him.

"I didn't miss you at all, (Y/N)." He laughs, but the look in his eyes says otherwise.

"Keep it up and you won't have a ride home, Clifford." You snapped back with a wink. 

"Okay, I missed you."
