The evergreen conifer Pinus montezumae (Montezuma pine) from the Mexican mountains has long (15 - 25 cm) needles that are in bundles of 5, occasionally 4 or 6. These are variable in texture on different plants from being thick and spiky to soft and slender. This young tree has a waterfall of these wonderful needles.

Since this is the last postcard reward that will be sent out in 2020, this one is a little special:
✨This month, each mini-print will be a little unique with hand-painted accents in gold watercolor on the pine needles, eyelashes, and tear.
✨Additionally, your mini-print this month will truly be a mini-print rather than a postcard. For this round I've decided to use the same paper that I use for the prints in my shop. This is cold-press textured 240 gsm Aquarelle print paper. Like the paper that I've been using for postcards, it is matte and archival, and will be hand-signed in pencil. This isn't a permanent change necessarily, but I've been on the fence about the paper stock I've been using for postcards for a few reasons. So be sure to tell me what you think!
