These Aloha Chicken Burgers are a taste of the Hawaiian islands with ground chicken, pineapple, and teriyaki sauce. Perfect for a summer barbecue or any time you want to bring a touch of paradise to your dinner table.
Ingredients: 1 pound ground chicken. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup pineapple tidbits, drained and chopped. 1/4 cup red bell pepper, finely diced. 1/4 cup green onions, chopped. 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 burger buns. Lettuce leaves for garnish. Sliced pineapple rings for topping. Sliced red onion for topping. Sliced Swiss cheese optional.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped pineapple, diced red bell pepper, chopped green onions, teriyaki sauce, garlic powder, ginger powder, salt, and pepper. Mix the ingredients until well combined, and then divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each portion into a burger patty. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Place the chicken burger patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are fully cooked through and have nice grill marks. During the last minute of grilling, you can optionally add a slice of Swiss cheese on top of each patty and let it melt. While the burgers are cooking, toast the burger buns on the grill until they are lightly browned. Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce leaves on the bottom bun, followed by a cooked chicken patty, a slice of pineapple, sliced red onion, and the top bun. Serve the Aloha Chicken Burgers hot with your favorite side dishes. Enjoy your tropical-inspired chicken burgers!
