Whew lads, I’ve been a commercial pilot since summer 2016, that’s 5 years ago ! 😱 Here’s FIVE things that I would go back and tell my younger C152 flying self, one for every year: 1) Always be professional when it comes time for the doors to close and the party to get started. 🛫 There’s always room for jokes and comradeship, but NEVER let your standards drop or anything affect the safety of the flight. 2) Take more videos up in the air, they’re more fun to look at than photos years later. 3) Never be without a huge bottle of water, because you get abnormally thirsty and sweaty talking on the radio. 🤡 4) Study the taxi chart of any airport you’re flying into beforehand and be generally comfortable with its layout. 5) Efficiency is the name of the game with briefings. In real world flying, you’ll never have time for the kind of long, drawn out briefings you practiced in flight school. Do that, and you’ll put your FO/captain to sleep. Keep briefings precise, clear, short, and to the point! :) Pilots, what would YOU say to your younger selves? ✈︎ ✈︎ ✈︎ posted on Instagram - https://instagr.am/p/CT6fjGNr7wU/
