The lingering hurt and unease from Bob's admission if he had known she was genetically modified he would not have supported her application, when she was awake her mind knew logically that was the correct course of action.
She knew federation law prohibited Genetically modified beings from serving in Starfleet and how illegal it was, it was part of the reason she was on trial; because she lied and she lied because she knew she wouldn't be accepted.
Her logical rationality understood this when she was awake, but in sleep with just her emotions and no conscious rational; Una felt rejected and wounded replaying the words to taunt her. Her dreams were overlapped with the memory of how La'An had lashed out at her.
The hateful bitter taunts from her childhood, the fear and persecution she had desperately sought to escape for the crime of being Illyrian. Her mind taunted her further replacing Bob with Chris.
