Butchers Hook park sausage patty, cranberry sauce, crispy onions, bacon, baby spinach, and mayo in a @rinkoffbakery brioche bap. Firstly, I never thought mayo and cranberry sauce would blend so nicely! I usually dread a Christmas burger with cranberry sauce as it’s quite overpowering but they get it spot on in this. It’s subtle, but the taste is still there. I LOVED the sausage patty in this, so thick and meaty, you can tell it’s coming from a good supplier. I loved the bun too, it had a crunch to it which differentiates it from your usual brioche, plus it’s coming from the legendary @rinkoffbakery (who are also connected to this business). @ch_sixzeroseven are a daytime coffee shop near Archway serving their breakfast naps, vegan and non, plus more @rinkoffbakery pastries and sweets. Oh, and they’re all gooners so we got on like a house on fire! Disregarding that, they are all really nice and made everyone who walked through the door feel welcome, it’s got proper family business vibes. Good morning and happy new year!! This breakfast plate is from Christmas, but traditionally this is what my parents made for breakfast every holiday (and some Sundays) growing up, so it felt appropriate to post. ⠀ ⠀ I’ve been working on my goals for the new year, and I finally decided what I want to focus on. I know some people think New Years resolutions are silly (@ my boyfriend 🙄), but I think goal setting is a good idea. Look! It's pigs in a blanket! Well, pigs each in their own individual blankets. Mervin, Gus, Holden, and Igor all had surgery today so now they're home cuddled up in our bed on some heating pads. They're all waiting for Jason to finish making critical care so I can syringe feed them. Mervin had his giant butt tumor remove and was neutered. Gus, Holden, and Igor were all neutered. Overall things went very well, though Mervin had quite a lot of bleeding and is having some trouble maintaining his body temperature. That's okay though because we have a lot of experience with this stuff. Keeping guinea pigs warm and hydrated, and getting them eating are three of the most important things after surgery so we do our best to make sure they have fully recovered before returning them to their cages though Mervin might get a pass to sleep in bed tonight.
