mountains, the ring on your finger
Pighead Nursery Rhyme 🫶
Under the paint-streaked sky at 2am
never should you walk the lonely streets
The figure crawls beneath the car
Obscured and wounded from the start
Human body with a rounded snout,
it prowls through Umbrella Health
and once you meet the creature’s eyes
you’ve already met your demise
Over the grass-swept hills in the longing of night
never should you leave your friends
The figure lurches from the shadows firm
and when it’s too late she’ll be discerned
She’ll pull you from your bed, your home
and drag you from suburbia
If you ever see a girl hooded black
run, and don’t look back
There are animals out there wanting blood
Strangers following in silent footsteps
So never grab and never linger,
stay grateful for mountains, the ring on your finger
Gather ‘round and consider yourself warned
of the creature who keeps a syringe in its pocket
Through vaseline and glass, your skin will burn
Pighead will appear when your back is turned
