I went back into San Francisco for the 3rd time, again by the BART (train) then walked from Pier 1 towards the Bay bridge which is the next bridge along from the Golden Gate Bridge, there I found a huge statue of a bow and arrow. I didn't really see much else down this way so I started to walk up to Pier 39 again. I then caught the last 10 minutes of the magic show down pier 39. This was also good, but hard to watch at some points, They also show circus acts and have lots of performances throughout the day. I then walked further up and came to pier 43, this is where the WW2 memorial site is,they had 2 large war ships in the water. Just before the entry there was a museum. Inside was packed with old fair ground and arcade games, model scenes and plenty of opportunities to get your 1 cent engraved. This was very interesting and fun to walk through. There is a fee to walk all the way down pier 43. I then carried on walking up towards, through and past Fisherman's Wharf. There was a guy on his boat, docked, cutting up freshly caught fish and feeding one of the sea lions. I then kept going towards the Golden
Gate Bridge again, this time I ended up finding myself walk trough a park and past a lot of yachts in a bay, these were 2 nice scenic changes. I then came across the beaches again and stopped to find some shade under a tree, read for a bit with an amazing view of the bridge. The past 2 days had reached record breaking temperatures, reaching 38 degrees, the usual is about 20 degrees. There a several hydration stations around so just keep your eyes pealed. That evening I met my friend in Berkeley and we went for a Ben and Jerry’s milkshake, then to watch her play softball, in a small league at San Diablo Park (they play every Friday) We ended up getting there super early, even before the teams before them had started playing. In which one of the teams came up to me as they were a player short and asked if I could join there team just so they could play. I ended up playing softball for the first time and we won the game! They were the kinda most encouraging group of people. Once Andy and her team had played we went with the team for pizza at Lanesplitters, there was a great atmosphere and the pizza was good too.
