You know those scenes where theyâre sitting at a restaurant and Cas has to order food because it would look weird if he didnât order anything? Do you think he makes his choice very carefully? Agonising over each and every description to decide which of the dishes Dean would enjoy the most?
Because we all know that no matter who else is at that table with them, Dean will be the one to eat his food, and Cas wouldnât have it any other way. Can you just imagine the look on Casâ face if Sam tried to pick off his plate? Like excuse you, that is you brotherâs sandwich. Get your own.

Thoughts that keep me up at night: Supernatural made it canon that angels can essentially make humans immortal (to the point that they even stop aging), which meant that Cas could make Dean immortal and they could just stay on earth together, alive and happy and doing whatever the hell they wanted for as long as they wanted
While their reception later will be at the Roadhouse, their actual ceremony takes place in a bit of land next to the bunker. It's February, but they just pop up a few space heaters around the folding chairs to keep everyone warm, and they say their vows under a giant oak tree decorated with a million multicolored ribbons.
And when they walk back down the make-shift aisle later, officially a married couple, all their guests throw seeds over their heads instead of rice, in hopes that some will take root and create a beautiful garden to commemorate their eternal love.
Since Lebanon discourse is back, I thought Iâd throw in my two cents.
The thing is, the way I see it is that Deanâs wish wasnât to have John back. Not really. His wish was to have his family together and - importantly - happy. That just manifested in John being brought forward from the past. Just look at the way that Sam and John got along in that episode like they never have before. The forgiveness... That wasnât real. That was just part of the wish.
Think about it: if your dad emotionally and physically abused you for your entire life, but you still looked up to him because you donât know any other way to be, what would your wish be? It sure as hell wouldnât be to have him back as-is. Itâd be to fulfil that dream of the better life you always thought youâd have gotten if it wasnât for your motherâs death.Â
Deanâs wish was to be happy with the people he loved, but the repercussions of it just split his family apart.
When the Oculus blew, Len didnât die. Instead, he woke back up in the body of his past self on the night before his first ever run-in with the Flash. Now Len has a chance to do it all over again; what changes would he make this time around?
(I have a lot of edits and fics for this ship as well as destiel, sterek, etc. My masterposts can be found here. If youâre on a desktop site then you can just jump on over to my page to view the rest of my coldflash edits.)
A full fanfic for this will be on the way soon (hopefully), but please accept the following couple of extracts in the meantime and, if you feel inspired by this post, feel free to run with it yourself! I only ask that you give me credit for the idea.

The taste of Sara's lips lingered on his tongue. Len hoped she'd gotten away. He hoped they all had. His team. He'd never been much of a team player in the past, but that was before he'd joined the Legends. And look where it had left him: holding onto a device that was set to blow at any second.
All things considered, Len supposed this was a good way to go. He wondered what Barry would think of him now. What would the Flash say once he learnt that Len had died a hero? Would Barry mourn him? Maybe. He was a god damn bleeding heart if ever Len had known one.
When the Time Masters surrounded him, Len had time for one last line. One last snarky comment. He'd make sure it was a good one.
"No strings on me," Len said, and he closed his eyes to the blinding light filling the room.
His last thought was of Lisa.
He supposed he should have expected that... his sister had always loved that damn film and insisted on watching it with him every birthday. Though he'd missed it last year, having been recently arrested for killing their father, so she'd had to come to visit him in prison instead. Lisa forgave Len that though, saying Lewis Snart's death was a better present than she could have asked for and more than made up for one skipped birthday. She'd made him promise not to miss her next one, though... it seemed like Len was going to be breaking that promise. He supposed she'd have to find someone else to carry on that tradition with her from now on. Maybe it would be Cisco? He was a good guy, and it was obvious to Len just how much the two cared for each other. If it wasnât Cisco, though, Len just had to hope it wasnât Rosa either; sheâd messed with Lisaâs heart too much already.
But, whoever it was, they had better take good care of his little sister or Len would come back to personally haunt their ass.
No strings on me.
No strings on meâŠ
No strings on meâŠ
"There are no strings on me!"
Len sat forward with a jolt, panting heavily as his mind swam with mental whiplash. It took him far too long to blink away his confusion and recognise where he was.
"Lenny? What's wrong? Are you okay?" Lisa was asking, placing her hand on his back. He tried not to cringe away from her touch
"You have no strings, your arms is free, to love me by the Zuider Zee," the song continued.
"Yeah..." he said slowly, looking away from Pinocchio dancing away on the TV to Lisa. Slowly, he settled back down on his sister's sofa. "Yeah, I'm fine." His heart was racing, and he was still panting, but he was calming down again now. "Just a bad dream." But it had felt like so much more than that... it had felt real.
"You fell asleep while watching Pinocchio?" Lisa asked, looking thoroughly unimpressed. She really did love this film. "It's not even nine o'clock. And it's my birthday!"
"Sorry, Sis," Len shrugged. He didn't have much else to say. The longer his eyes were open, the more faded the dream felt. Of course, it hadn't been real... Len internally chided himself for even considering that a possibility. Speedsters and immortals and time travel? That stuff could never really exist! It had just been a dream. A very, very weird dream.
"You're getting old, Lenny,"Â his sister teased, and Len rolled his eyes.

The next morning, s Leonard and his team rode down the armoured van, Len could feel his heart racing in his chest. But he couldnât let some dream interfere with his heist. Heâd been planning it for months, and it was set to be the biggest haul of his career. He and all of his crew would be walking away with at least two milâ each. He wasnât about to bail out now.
So, Len continued on. However, he couldnât help but throw glances over his shoulder as he dismounted his bike and grabbed the liquid nitrogen containers to bust open the door. And when the red blur did, in fact, come rushing to the rescue, Len didnât hang around to check it out as heâd done in his dream. He jumped on his bike and got the hell out of dodge, mask still firmly in place.
Back at the safe house, Lenâs mind was spinning. His dream⊠it couldnât have been real. Could it? It wasnât possible. But neither was the red blur which had interrupted his heist. Len stared at the screen, the surveillance footage heâd swiped from the van playing under his sharp gaze. It was exactly as Len had remembered it in his dream. Everything was happening in precisely the same way. The thought made Lenâs stomach twist into knots. If the dream was real⊠then that meant that Len had only eighteen months left before he died.
But, what a hell of an eighteen months they would be: becoming Captain Cold, going up against the mob, getting rid of Lewis once and for all, travelling through time, and doing and taking whatever he wanted whenever he wanted.
Well, almostâŠ
There was one thing that Len found himself wanting desperately. One person. Someone that Len would have never expected to fall forâŠ
And Len supposed that that was it: that was how he could find out, once and for all, whether this dream of his was coming true or not. Len would have to track down Barry Allen. If he was real, then this whole thing, whatever it was, must be real too.
That was how he found himself inside CC Jitters the next morning, waiting on an impossible man.
His dream-self had done surveillance on Barry from the moment heâd squeezed the manâs name from Ciscoâs lips. Months of monitoring his comings and goings. Heâd learnt everything that he possibly could about Barry, stopping only once Len had found the young man getting cosy with a female cop and noticed the way his gut twisted with jealousy at the sight of the pair⊠But that wouldnât be for another year yet.
In Lenâs dream, the Flash had frequented this coffee shop day in and day out. So, if Len wanted to run into him, then this was the place to do it.
Len didnât have long to wait before the door opened and in walked Barry Allen and Iris West. Iris patted her friend on the shoulder and moved behind the counter to put on an apron. But Lenâs eyes were trained on Barry. He was dressed like a preschool teacher in a sweater vest and shirt with a pair of slim-fit jeans. It looked good on him, though Len would be surprised if he found anything that looked bad on this man.
The goody type didnât usually do it for Len, but there was so much more to Barry than met the eye and thus, regardless, Len found his heart racing frantically against his chest. Though, maybe his reaction was less about seeing Barry again and more about the crushing realisation that his dream had been real.
Len couldnât understand how that was possible. Heâd dreamt about the future. But how? He wasnât a meta⊠was he?
Len stumbled, shooting a hand out to a nearby post, and steadying himself and the other man before they both went hurtling to the floor. He looked down to find Barry Allenâs big green eyes looking back up at him, the to-go cup heâd been holding slipping to the floor and spilling all over Lenâs shoes. Though, Len realised he didnât quite mind that. He could always buy a new pair.
âOh my God, I am so sorry!â Barry said, pulling himself up. âI was backing up, and I wasnât looking where I was going. And I⊠Iâll pay for your dry cleaning!â Barry continued. Len looked down at himself, seeing that some of the coffee had indeed also splattered against his new coat. Len didnât mind that either. Barry twisted to grab his wallet from his jeans pocket, and Len realised he was still holding onto Barryâs shoulder; he quickly let go.
âTheyâre only clothes,â Len said. He sounded breathless. He was breathless. Len was working without a plan here, and he always had a plan. He hadnât intended to meet Barry today, but now that he had⊠"Let me buy you another drink,â Len said, slipping into his drawl like putting on a good pair of gloves. He watched Barry closely and was happy to see a brush of colour sweep across the younger manâs cheeks.
"But, I was the one who bumped into you,â Barry protested, still holding his wallet as though he was going to insist on paying. Len placed his hand purposefully over Barryâs.
"Yeah, you were," Len said, smirking. He enjoyed the way that Barry grinned at him in return. Their relationship in the dream had been much more difficult. But this? This was easy. "You look like a caramel latte, kind of guy."
"How did you know?"
"Call it a hunch," Len shrugged. The truth was, he remembered it being Barryâs go-to drink in his dream. Though, his friends would often order a Flash for him as a joke. Len would have liked to make that same joke now, but that particular drink wasnât on the menu⊠yet. âAlso,â Len said, dipping down to pick the spilt disposable coffee cup up off the floor, "it's written on your cup."
"Oh, right," Barry laughed. Len, smirk still in place, stepped around the spill to toss the now-empty cup in the trash at the same time that Iris came over with a mop. Barry apologised to her, but she only gave Barry a not-so-subtle wink and nodded with her head for Barry to follow Len to the counter. Barry had turned an even brighter shade of red by this point.
Len ordered the manâs drink and then leant back against the counter, elbows propped up behind him and taking his time to slowly look Barry up and down.
âSo, Barry, do you make a habit of running into people at coffee shops or am I just lucky?â Len drawled, and Barry scratched nervously at the back of his neck.
âWell, I try not to,â Barry laughed. âNot everyoneâs as nice about it as you are,â he said, and Len almost burst out laughing. He didnât think anyone had ever called him âniceâ before. âWait, you know my name?â Barry asked. But he quickly shook his head and tapped his crown in a âduhâ gesture. âThe coffee cup,â he said, answering his own question. âThough, now Iâm at a disadvantage because I donât know your name.â
âHmm,â Len uttered. He leisurely looked Barry up and down one last time, drawing it out and enjoying how the younger man squirmed under his gaze. âI think we can rectify that,â Len said eventually, then he quickly pushed back off the counter and turned around to grab a napkin. He took a pen out of his coat pocket and scrawled his name and number down. By the time he was done, Barryâs order was ready, so he handed both the cup and napkin to the speedster at the same time. "You can run into me anytime, Barry," he winked and then sauntered out of the coffee shop before Barry could do anything more than blush.

Coldflash Week Fall 2019: Lenâs Oculus Powers. AKA the Bad Wolf AU
Yet another fic idea that Iâve been meaning to write for years. If you feel inspired then, by all means, feel free to write it out! Just please give me credit for the idea (or, at the very least, credit Dr Who since this is based on Rose Tyler as Bad Wolf). PS, please forgive me my shoddy editing skills. I was in a bit of a rush.
(I have a lot of edits and fics for this ship as well as destiel, sterek, etc. My masterposts can be found here. If youâre on a desktop site then you can just jump on over to my page to view the rest of my coldflash edits.)
âWhat can we do?â Mick asked, and Rip shook his head.
âNothing. The human body isnât designed to absorb all the information of the timestream.â
âSo, thatâs it, then?â Sara asked, indignant. âLeonardâs going to just die again? Weâve only just got him back!â
âWhat about a speedster?â Barry asked, and all eyes turned to him. âI have the speed force running through me, how much different could this be?â He asked. âIs there any way for me to, I donât know, absorb it from him?â
âItâs⊠possible,â Rip said after a momentary pause. âThough, speedster or not, you are still human. It may not be any safer for you than it is for Mr Snart.â
âItâs not worth it, Bear,â Joe was saying instantly. But Barry shook his head; he had to try.
So, that was how, ten minutes later, Barry found himself standing in front of Leonard Snart. Leonardâs eyes were glowing an unearthly blue as they tracked Barryâs movement. He was silent and emotionless. Though, not the put-upon mask that he often wore to keep people at bay. His face was just⊠blank. Barry wondered, not for the first time, if Snart was even in there or not.
âItâs okay, Leonard,â Barry said softly, stepping up to Snart until they were only a mere foot apart. He cast a look back over his shoulder at his friends, feeling nervous about what he had to do.
When he looked back to Snart, the older man was still just standing there silently. And, Barry didnât know whether that made things easier or more difficult. Because, according to Rip, there was only one sure-fire way for Barry to absorb the remnants of the timestream which clung on in Snartâs body, and that was through open connect. Specifically, a kiss.
âIâm going to make it all okay. Just⊠donât punch me, alright?â He laughed humourlessly. Then, before he could overthink this, Barry took that last step and crashed their lips together. For a moment, nothing happened. And then everything happened.
Barry saw it all. Every moment that ever was, every moment that ever would be, everything that could be, and everything that had never come to pass. He saw it all. It was like running through the speed force, except it was a million times bigger and in a fraction of the time. He saw hatred, war, peace, love. So much love.
He saw Iris, Felicity, Caitlin, Cisco, Joe, Leonard⊠no, Len. He preferred Len. Barry could see it now, everything that Len had been through, everything that had ever happened which had made Len who he was. The good and the bad. And there was a lot of bad. So much that Barry wanted to hold him tight and never let him go again.
And, oddly enough, Barry saw this moment. It was like an out-of-body experience, watching himself kiss Leonard Snart in the middle of the lab and with all of his friends watching. It started innocent enough, a quick peck, but then Len lifted his hands to cup Barryâs jaw, and it deepened. Barry could feel Lenâs rough hands against the skin of his cheek, and he watched the scene play out as though he was watching it on TV rather than being an active participant. He felt his tongue slip inside Lenâs mouth, though he didnât remember making the conscious thought to do so.
A second passed, and then Sara let out a rowdy hoot behind them, and Mick began laughing so hard that he nearly fell to the floor, Joe started face palming and shaking his head, while pretty much everyone else just uncomfortably averted their gaze. Barry realised he probably should have been embarrassed, but he was so caught up in everything â in Len, in them, in memories and futures, in life itself â that he just didnât feel it.
But soon it became overpowering.
Barryâs head began to buzz painfully, his eyes hurt as though he was straining to see everything, his mouth began to feel numb. He stumbled back from the kiss, and the second that the connection between himself and Len broke, Lenâs body slumped, and he fell to the floor. Barry tried to catch him, but his vision was swimming now, and his limbs felt heavy. He heard someone shout his name behind him. He heard it echo through his head as it happened again and again and again in countless timelines.
And then everything went black.
When Barry came to again, a few days had passed. He was lying in a make-shift hospital bed in one of the smaller labs at STAR, and both Cisco and Caitlin were hovering around him expectantly and asking him relentless questions. At first, Barry didnât really remember what had happened. But soon, it all came flooding back to him. Well, not all of it. He struggled to remember most of what heâd seen while connected to the timestream, which had apparently faded from his body due to his accelerated healing factor. But, the memory of Lenâs tongue dancing against his own was all too real.
âWhereâs, ermâŠâ Len. Just thinking his name made Barryâs heart beat a little faster and he was forever glad that Cait had already unhooked him from the heart rate monitor.
âYour boyfriendâs over there,â Cisco joked, and Barry blushed. He was about to stutter out some sort of excuse when he glanced over to where Cisco had been pointing and found Len lying in a hospital bed identical to Barryâs, connected to an IV drip and various machines.
The words died on Barryâs tongue as he abruptly stood up and flashed over to Lenâs side without really thinking about it. His reaction must have been a surprise to Cisco because the other manâs smile was already dropping from his lips.
âIs he okay?â Barry asked, and Caitlin nodded.
âHeâs not deteriorating anymore. Heâs actually been healing. On a cellular level, heâs fine,â she said.
âBut?â Barry asked, seeing the hesitation on her face.
âBut⊠we donât know how long heâs going to be out for. Or, if he ever will wake up.â
Barry shook his head. He didnât go through all of that just for Len to get stuck in a coma for the rest of his life. Barry couldnât accept that. He wouldnât.
Barry didnât know whether it would work, but heâd done it once before with Jesse. He reached forward, his fingers crackling with electricity, and he took Lenâs hand in his own. The second their skin made contact, Len was gasping and bolting upright in his bed. Wordlessly, Len looked at Barry, his blue eyes lacking the unnatural glow theyâd had before, as Caitlin scrambled forward to check him over.
Barry tried to take his hand back and give his friend more room to work, but Len grabbed him tighter and refused to let go. Barry let out a shaky laugh and smiled as he took in the unfiltered emotions covering Lenâs face. He looked as though he was in absolute awe of Barry, and it made Barry blush.
âWell, if it isnât my Scarlet Speedster,â Len said, his voice sounded dry from disuse, but it made Barryâs heart flutter all the same. âYou owe me a real kiss.â
âPlease donât,â Cisco muttered. âIâve seen enough of that particular show for one week.â
âThen look away,â Len drawled, tugging sharply on Barryâs hand until he stumbled forwards and into Lenâs arms. Barry was smiling as their lips met. He couldnât help it. It was a messy kiss, and there was a little bit too much teeth involved, but neither Len nor Barry could care about that.
As far as Barry was concerned, it was perfect because it was with Len.
Coldflash Week Fall 2019: Sugar Daddy / Identity Reveal / Different 1st Meeting
I have a lot of edits and fics for this ship as well as destiel, sterek, etc. My masterposts can be found here. If youâre on a desktop site then you can just jump on over to my page to view the rest of my coldflash edits.
Iâve had this idea for about a year or so and have officially decided that I will never get around to writing it, so consider this a writing prompt. If you feel inspired to carry the story on then be my guest but please give credit!
Summary: The name Snart was well-known in the criminal underworld: everyone who was anyone knew the man behind the name as an infamous thief who liked to push the buttons of even the most feared criminals and somehow managed to dodge the police at every turn. But in private, Len preferred the name Miller. Leonard Snart was a cold-hearted crook who would kill anyone who got in his way. But Leonard Miller was the suave businessman who had fallen in love with Barry Allen.
In Lenâs defence, he hadnât known that Barry was a newly hired CSI, nor that his foster father was the very same Detective that had been hunting Len for the past ten years, when he took Barry home that first night. But maybe, just maybe, Barry was worth the risk.
AKA, just another pre-canon AU where Len and Barry were dating before the particle accelerator explosion.
âHere,â Len said, taking a credit card out of his wallet and handing it to Barry. âBuy yourself something pretty,â he laughed, and Barry frowned at him.
âI donât need a sugar daddy, Len,â he muttered, sounding offended, and Len sighed. Maybe he shouldnât have joked about such a sensitive issue.
âI know that. But you just said yourself that youâre in debt. And I have more money than I know what to do with,â Len elaborated, sure that Barry couldnât know just how true that statement was. âIf Iâm not spending it on myself, then is it really so bad if I spend a little on my boyfriend?â He drawled and pushed the card into Barryâs hands. Barry frowned down at it for a second, seeming conflicted, then his brow furrowed even deeper as he looked up at Len.
âThis says Leonard Snart,â Barry stated, though it sounded more like a question. For a moment, Len didnât understand what the issue was. But then he realised his mistake. Barry knew him as Leonard Miller.
âSnart⊠is my real name,â Len carefully admitted, trying his best not to close his face off, and Barry looked very sad all of a sudden.
âYou gave me a fake name? Barry asked slowly, and Len resisted the urge to bang his head against the wall: how could he have been so stupid? âWhy?â He asked. Before Len could give an answer, Barry was talking again. Rambling uncomfortably and taking a step back. âPeople donât just give out fake names for no reason. You donât just tell your boyfriend a false name unless youâre hiding something.
âOh, God. Oh God, youâre married, arenât you?â Barry continued, getting a little frantic. âI knew this was too good to be true. Iâm the other woman, arenât I? Oh God, I canât believe-â
âBarry,â Len cut him off as he saw the younger man working himself up. âNumber one, Iâm not married. Nor have I ever been,â he insisted. Barry was looking at him with those big sad puppy eyes of his, and it made Lenâs heart twinge. How had he fallen so hard for this man? âAnd two, youâre not a woman,â he teased.
âItâs a figure of speech, Len!â Barry all but shouted. But then his fretting turned into something calmer, something more assessing, something that maybe worried Len. âThen, why?â Barry asked. âBecause, if youâre not married, then the only other reason I can think of is,â that heâs a criminal. Len didnât let Barry say the words aloud. He didnât want to have to lie and deny them; he knew they werenât ready for that particular conversation just yet. So, instead, Len admitted something that he hadnât actually talked about to anyone other than Lisa in over 20 years.
âI didnât have a happy childhood,â Len said. He paused, his eyes trained on Barryâs face as he watched the young CSI piece together Lenâs meaning. âMy mum died when I was young and my Dad⊠he wasnât exactly the loving type.â Len watched as Barryâs eyes flicked down to the scar on Lenâs chest, currently covered by both tattoo and clothes. âWhen he finally went to jail, I started going by Miller. Itâs my motherâs maiden name. I just never got around to legally changing it.â
Hiya! :D 1, 3, 17 for the writing ask thingy if you donât mind â€ïž
No problem, Iâm happy to procrastinate for a little longer :D
1 - how many WIPS do you have? Published? 4.
But if youâre including the ones still in my drafts folder? Well, I just did a quick count and that would be more like 18. Most are fanfics, but some are my own original works. Still... yikes. That number is a lot higher than I thought itâd be. Maybe I shouldnât procrastinate so much...
Anyway, letâs keep procrastinating!
3 - canonverse or AU? Definitely canonverse. I love AUs, donât get me wrong, but thereâs just something about remoulding canon for my ships that makes me feel happy.
17 - describe a fic that is still in the âideasâ stage. Ooh, okay, fun! I have a lot of coldflash fics still in the ideas stage, but this is one of my favourites.
So, the idea came to me when realised that most coldflash soulmate stories always seem to follow a similar plot: they discover theyâre soulmates, Character A accepts it right away but Character B doesnât, so A spends the entire fic trying to convince B to date them. Itâs great! I love that type of fic and have read more of them than I care to admit. But, it got me thinking...
What if neither Len or Barry thought that dating was a good idea? What if they both just called it quits from the beginning and tried to put it out of their heads? How would Fate intervene to push these two idiots together?
And thus, this idea was born!
The entire fic is the Universe essentially pulling a parent trap on Barry and Len to force them to admit their feelings and get together, the situations they find themselves in becoming increasingly more unlikely and staged as time passes. It cycles through all of the best tropes, from being forced to work together undercover to take down a baddie, to getting locked into a safe together while fighting as Flash and Captain Cold, to curses and huddling for warmth, even to accidentally getting set up on a blind date with each other! đ€·đ»ââïž
Because, well, Fateâs a bitch, and she hates people messing with her plans.
Plus, as amazing as it is to have Character B slowly come to realise that A is actually amazing and the one for them, sometimes you just have to put them in a room together with only one bed and no heater during a snow storm...
