Piece of the Day 02102022

Today's Piece of the Day is a colorful 4 section dry,  lay back Calabash Sherlock Pipe. This one of a kind creation features 2 sections (bowl and mouthpiece) of reverse axis wig wag of Jailbreak (colors bracketed by black and separated by white) Aqua Azul, Orange and Red Orange Crayon. The body is a two section Purple Lollipop fabrication. The extended left carb is clear and is opposed with a kick stand and standard style millifiore marbles.

Piece of the Day 02082022

Today's Piece of the Day is by Steven Hoffman. It is a spoon shaped inside out Indian Red frit backed Lava Orange and Unobtanium line montage fritacello head and mouthpiece. A single clear finger hold marble opposes the left side carb.

We have several designs by Steven Hoffman, this is the fifth and final of 5. During the POTD process, I've become quite enamored of Steve's work. Getting frit to behave in the first place is a feat, much less having the skill to create intricate designs and geometric patterning. It's quite well done and very complex work in the Handmade Pipes.

Piece of the Day 121421

Today's Piece of the Day is an earthy colored 3 section dry lay back U-Bend Sherlock Pipe by Beto Glass of Arizona. This one of a kind creation features inside out variably struck avocado green glass for the body. It features a flattened mouthpiece and an Amber extended right carb. Green Octopus suction cups line the bend on the right side. The defining design element is the copper electroformed wraps adorning the entirety of this piece. The decoration element I am most impressed by is the Green Moldavite chunk held in place at the head by the electroformed wire wrap work. Two kick stand style twisted canes of clear and struck avocado green adorns the left side.
