Some of the ingredients I'm using to make my #organic kidney beans chocolate cake/brownie. #flourless I'm gonna be using a mix of honey & my fave sugar for this recipe. This whole brown sugar is made from unrefined sugar cane juice and still contains minerals like iron, zinc, magnesium & phosphorus. It also contains calcium! Which makes it a better & healthier sugar compared to processed white sugar. It also smells & tastes amazing🙌🏻 And if you haven't tried this chocolate, I mean...what are you waiting for?? Rejuvinating and refreshing are two words that I thought would describe yoga. However I had no idea actually because I'd never really done yoga before going to this "international yoga festival" this weekend. It was "international" only in the sense that some of the instructors came from places other than Israel but for the most part it was comprised of Tel Avivi yogis and a couple of people like me who came for the chill. After a whole balagan Yitz was able to get two tickets for Kayla and I to come to the festival. We pitched a tent on Thurday and got ready to strech out. The first class I went to I was overwhelmed by mostly everything. It was one of the most physically and mentally challenging things I had done since running the half marathon. Safe to say I was out of my comfort zone and challenged. I also learned then that most of the yoga classes would be a whopping hour and a half each, but hey, I guess that's what I came to a yoga festival for. There were a couple different tents set up each directed towards different types of yoga. Over the course of the weekend I did some meditation in the water, used belts to strech out my positions, and bent into uncomfortable poses till my body couldn't take it anymore. We did shabbat fairly chilled out, staying away from shabbat unfriendly classes (with music etc.) and just hanging out with Yitz' older sister Tova and her friends. The vibes at the festival were nice and the weather was hot, yet easily combatted with a popsicle. Overall I had a really amazing time, I'm glad it worked out, and I would challenge everyone to try out a yoga class or two just to get out of your comfort zone. I have immense respect for serious yogis after this weekend. Motzash was Lag B'Omer (a big festival in honor of the Rashbi in which people light bonfires) and I knew that the place to be was Har Meron, where the kever (grave) of the Rashbi resides. It's technically the biggest gathering of people in all of Israel, dragging hasidim from all over to country to bump streimels with eachother around fires and music. I think there were around 600,000 people that came throughout the course of the night and next morning. It was packed everywhere you looked and extremely hard to move without just being pushed in all directions. Me and my friends danced with some hasidim, sang, and then left as the sun came out to make the long trek back to our beds after a night with no sleep. It was an amazing sight to see and I'd highly recommend going at least once in your life if possible just to see what goes on. Overall such an amazing couple of days and I'm now happy to be back in yeshiva learning for a bit. Chag sameach, Bloaz
