Weeks of planning for a perfect day started off on a bad note. Because it hadn’t rained in months the waterfall we were originally going to visit was dry changing the first destination to our trip. We decided to head to our second stop on the list since there was no waterfall at the time. As we pulled up to the gates leading to the reserve, we came across a sign the read “Closed” and just like that one more place cheched off the list. We decided to go into town and have breakfast, walk around and buy a few things. A few hours went by and we jumped in the car and drove leaving not only the water fall and the small town but the perfectly planned day as well. We drove an hour and a half to a beach near by with no idea of what we were going to do.
We get into Barras de Piaxtla and stop to get a bite to eat, small little place, very polite woman and great food. We took a walk around town and met another very nice lady that rented us a house right in front of the beach for 50 dollars the night, at this point my fiancé and I decided to stay the night because a storm was coming in fast. With the sky completely covered in clouds we sat out on the beach enjoying some drinks and the rest of the unplanned trip. As we were getting ready to turn in the sunset starts to show through the clouds and we are left with an amazing view and a beautiful ending to a bad perfectly planned day.
