The news that Sony will no longer be making physical discs for new games starting January 2028 makes me doubt we'll get a physical disc release for Horizon 3...

So my custom slipcovers for the modern Resident Evil games just came in the mail and they are INCREDIBLE!!
If you care about physical media like I do (a very special FUCK YOU to Sony for trying to take it away from us in 2028 – you won't win this), I'd highly recommend checking these out! I had all the PlayStation and Capcom logos removed from mine, and also went with solid colors on the backs for a more streamlined look (blue on RE2, white on Requiem, and black on the other four), but they are all highly customizable and come with many different design choices.
I cannot recommend FANSSATE enough and am beyond excited for the Code Veronica, Zero, and RE1 remakes so I can buy even more!!
Don't Kill the Disc: Tell Sony to Keep Physical PlayStation Games
If anyone following me are gamers, please consider signing this petition. If you care about your rights to own a game that you purchase and have it not taken away from you (including digital), the preservation of art for future generations, and believe that a free market with price competition is good for us, the customers, then please have a look at this petition (that has over 300,000 signatures currently) and see if it's something you want to support.
We can make a difference, even if Sony ends up refusing to budge, we need to let them know that if they do this that we will not support them and they will lose our business.
Watch people find a way to make physical copies of GTA 6. Ultimate Edition included. I call it now. It’ll happen. They might not be able to sell them but they’ll make their own for personal use. Watch that happen.
This is what happens when you limit, deny, revoke access rights from a consumer. The consumer finds a way of doing what you should already be doing for them because they won’t put up with having those options taken away from them. It is their legal right to do that.
You can’t stop them. You shouldn’t be stopping them.
You will have to fucking deal with it if you don’t like it.
Don’t strip consumers from their rights to their media!
