And my mom finally admitted to needing one herself
We both pushed ourselves too far yesterday and I was sick from the physical and mental strain
Gonna have to go through it all over again for another appointment at the same place in hopefully December at the earliest, march at the latest
Next time I hope we both have canes

sometimes i catch myself saying shit like "well, i'm not physically disabled, but i do regularly dislocate my knee, my joints are unstable and hurt more than they're supposed to, and i have a permanent ankle injury that i'm in physiotherapy for and need to use a cane to walk without extreme pain,"
in moments like these, i find it helpful to repeat to myself in a mocking tone "well, i'm not physically disabled, but i do have physical disabilities"
