wondering if anyone knows how to fix this or knows what i'm doing wrong
my photoshop just updated to 2024 and now when i convert my gifs to timeline from frame animation it won't animate no matter what i do
did something in the software change? anyone know how to fix this? i'm losing my mind
The horror of accidentally opening Photoshop and having to wait while it summons its Dark Armies of Brushes, Textures, and Fonts before you can close it again.
Aaaaaaaaaaaannd.... my Photoshop is freaking crashing again.
When i try to drag text layers.
Or drag anything, for that matter.
It just freezes, then crashes.

okay so let’s say i want to make a gif ang i import video frames to layers, nothing unusual but then the result is this ?????
can you notice certain frames change color a bit?
like first we have this:
and then for a second it becomes this:
can you see the fucking difference?
it is so annoying and i can’t understand what the fuck is wrong! the video itself is perfectly fine and photoshop does it to every single video i try. also the coloring is not the problem, the layers are different from each other even without any coloring at all
so... has anyone ever run into the same problem? like what do i do? please help??? i really don’t fancy the idea of color correcting every single frame that’s different from the rest, because sometimes there are just too many and i’ve got other things to do

I’m about to lose my sanity here.
I’ve used a working version of a PS CS6 before (I can no longer remember where I found it) and now when I’ve finally re-installed the program, it refuses to import any videos because the “DynamicLink Media Server is not available”.
Strangely I didn’t have the same problem with the newest version of PS (2021), which I however wanted to switch to an older version of PS because it’s so fucking slow on my current laptop that cropping & image resizing takes literally forever.
So here’s what I’ve tried so far:
Reinstalling it (obviously)
Disabling the Graphics Processor through a Performance tab
Restarting Photoshop
Restarting Windows
Enabling both CS6 + dynamiclink through a firewall on my laptop
Reinstalling the PS again
Resetting PS preferences
And guess what? It still. Doesn’t. Work.
Every time I try to import any kind of video, the loading screen stalls around 80%, gets stuck for a while and then displays that error message again.
I’ve come across this problem before and I do have a faint memory that disabling the Graphics Processor did the trick last time. Now nothing seems to work and I’m about to tear my hair out.
for the love of god, can photoshop PLEASE stop exporting my gifs significantly different than how they ACTUALLY LOOK!? like why? its always random gifs and if i cut like a couple frames off its fine????? i hate it here.
