Meimato Engaged Headcanons

Matt doesn't really make a big deal about it, because he's sorta private like that, even though inside he's all fuzzy and warm and happy that she said yes

He did, however, make the mistake of telling Tai, and within hours everyone knew

Funny, I would have thought Mimi would be the chattier of the group, but this IS Tai we're talking about--

Matt basically tries to avoid actually talking about it, but he pretty much never lets go of Meiko's hand because she keeps him grounded and sane

He tries his best to help with the wedding planning and is really only picky about the cake for some reason

IT NEEDS TO BE PERFECT OKAY---

Because I imagine they both work hard in their own ways, they both come home exhausted and collapse on the couch, and within minutes their heads have drifted together and their pinkie fingers are touching and OH GOD I'M SOFT---

Obviously I live in a world where no Digimon stays gone and so Meicoomon is there and she and Gabumon are the flower Digimon BECAUSE THAT'S CUTE OKAY

T.K. is always making sly comments to which Matt just punches him in the shoulder and somehow he never learns his lesson

Overall, there's not a very big deal made about the whole thing, but neither of them mind too much, being the center of attention isn't exactly their forte

very interesting question! i imagine dimitri’s been on the receiving end of comfort from byleth due to his never ending nightmares, but this’d be the first time he’d have to comfort her from a nightmare (which would most likely be connected to jeralt’s death or watching dimitri die at gronder or what have you)

from my perspective, he’d prolly be awakened by her muffled crying, being startled by seeing his strong, nigh invincible goddess of a wife brought to tears. but he quickly understands what happened, and just hugs her tightly, pats and ruffles her hair somewhat, and whispers words of comfort to her. tells her that he’s not dead. that he and all of her students and friends aren’t going anywhere. he’s a bit awkward at it since it’s the first time he’s ever had to give comfort to someone else, but it’s enough to calm her back to a lulling sleep regardless

I think their relationship dynamic in Beyblade V-Force really sold me on the possibility of a romance between them. Though unfortunately since Hillary is a anime only character I don’t think she’s the one Kai marries in the future in the manga epilogue. BUT that isn’t to say that Takao Aoki can’t introduce her at some point. Since that’s always a high possibility. 

I’ve been wanting to write some stories for KaiHil for a while now but I’ve been busy with work and my ADHD is a bitch.

Seriously, the thought that Riku was looking out for the Riku Replica like this really warms my heart. He didn’t forget him, not after all this time, and he wanted to make sure he had a way to fight, a way to protect what matters. Because that’s who Riku is - he doesn’t care about his own safety, his only concern is keeping the people he cares about safe. The Riku Replica behaves in a similar manner, sacrificing a second chance at life for Naminé’s sake. And the Riku Replica was looking out for Riku, too, throughout the whole game.

Really, they have such a supportive friendship in KH3 and it was such a nice touch. They were both kind of loners before, but they found a friend in each other. And Riku accepted the Riku Replica and treated him like he’s his own person. If that’s not what Kingdom Hearts is all about, I don’t know what is.
