Eventually there's a huge thunderstorm and carl finds out it's ellie and her second husband also finds out she had another husband that she left, and then carl and ellie's second husband got together and went on a waffle house date. But midway through waffle house was bought by turning point usa and they played their god awful halftime show on the speakers in the restaurant
