New Video: ELARA HAD A BLOCKAGE (ON NEW YEARS DAY)
In today's video, I go over what happened on New Years Day when Elara (my 3 year old ferret) had a blockage.
DISCLAIMER: This video is a retelling of how I handled an emergency situation with one of my ferrets. I know there will be people who watch this video and disagree with how I handled the situation. That's fine. We all handle situations differently depending on dozens of factors. HAVING SAID THAT, this video is NOT meant as a fail safe guide for every ferret owner to use in an emergency situation or as a substitute for veterinary care. Though I share information, this video is not intended to be a guide. The intentions of this video is to educate people on the reality of emergency situations while opening discussions that help to destigmatize them. You ARE NOT a bad ferret owner if you end up in an emergency situation. Emergency situations are a GUARANTEE for any ferret owner, and if you're planning to or do own ferrets, there will come a time that you are put into one. Please do your research and be prepared.

Remember, pet care is constantly evolving as we learn more, so never let yourself get stuck in an old way of doing things just because that's the way something's "always been done". Never stop changing and bettering yourself for your pets.

This video got claimed the first time I tried to upload it so it might get taken down again BUT I'M WILLING TO ROLL THE DICE BECUASE IT'S FUNNY (and I worked on it for 2 weeks). ANYWAY today we're reacting to a popular youtube channel that I'm scared to write the name of in my title and description but you'll figure it out pretty quickly I'm sure.
SAFETY WARNING: Most of the crafts that these channels create are unsafe for ferrets (and lots of them are unsafe for pets in general). I wouldn't recommend any of the crafts I recreate as they all have safety issues. I didn't give any of these things to my ferrets after making this video and I don't plan on it, so please DON'T recreate these for your ferrets!

I am very much out of the loop in the pet-keeping world (I only follow a couple of animal-related channels on YT, and none about exotics), but I was watching a bunch of stuff about “PetTube” today.
I used to watch BB in 2015 (mostly old videos from years before), then quickly lost interest because of the... clickbait and shock factor. (”SNAKE BITE TO FACE” and fake blood splatter, anyone?)
But I didn’t know about this. The only “damning” things I had heard about him before, were criticism of scaleless reptiles, spider ball pythons, and the tiny tubs.
The rest is just damn awful.
And the video feeding the monitor was so obviously staged and cringe. “OMG I don’t know what to do!” You have owned thousands of reptiles for decades. How can you not know what to do?
Also, I’m joking now and I’m sure someone will take this out of context, but about YouTubers in general, about any topic... can we make it illegal, like introduce the death penalty or something, for using ALL CAPS or sudden SELECTIVE CAPS for absolutely NO REASON??!!
I hate it so much.
