Opinion on horror movies in the Omegaverse?
Let me tell you something buddy, I fucking love horror movies.
My opinions are this are based on superficial views about horror movies, just an fyi in case anyone freaks the fuck out for me being narrow-minded.
So generally I think the omegaverse horror movies would be the same as they be irl. Our honor movies have a woman as a lead character (mostly) and they have friends who are minor characters that male and female. Their sidekick is almost always a dude, which is their love interest. In slasher movies the antagonist is a dude, and in paranormal movies the spirit thing varies but it’s usually a demonic girl.
So I would think that in the horror movies an Omega or female Beta would be the main character of the movie. Love interest is almost always an Alpha or male Beta. The group of friends are mostly made up of other Betas and maybe another Alpha and Omega couple. A lot of the roles are changing though, pairings of the main couples are being tested and the main characters aren’t just Omegas or female Betas. Just like how our movie franchise switched on a dime too.
Maybe certain tropes are still present. The whole the nonvirgins always die first and the virgin lives is something that common? Main character is alive because they aren’t have sex or have had it, stares at entire Friday the 13th and Halloween movie. Cause we all know it’s a subliminal for people to wait till marriage, squints harder at Friday the 13th. The Alpha love interest is always clueless just like the dudes are in real life movies. We always have the one Paris Hilton of the group, maybe they are another Omega or Beta female. The character to always die first is for sure a Beta male, I dunno why…but I just feel like that would happen.
Ooh, imagine if a person’s mate gets killed? I would imagine them going feral for a certain amount of time, I would assume it would be a short amount of time because you can only fit so much in a span of an hour and some change. Like adding this in it’s almost like a sacred thing because mate loss is an extreme experience or set of emotions for a dynamic to experience. Often times mates die together to eliminate the mourning process time, also to save on film.
Slasher film where the Omega finally is done with the murderer killing everyone they care about? Next thing you know they created a house of booby traps and are fighting tooth and nail to kill them. MAYBE THE OMEGA GOES FERAL JUST TO FUCK THIS PERSON UP? That’s fucking tight m8ty.
I feel like horror movies are probably the most cliched movies in the verse, but also probably the most progressive? If we think about it, the main characters of our horror movies are women now and we are seeing them do some badass things to save themselves and their friends/lover. It’s funny to think that I lean towards horror movies more to see that dominate female character doing the damn thing because that’s mostly where I see them excel the most. I mean have you seen an action movie recently that had a female lead without her crying over a mans? (cause if you have show me)
Even though most movies have their own cookie cutter with slightly different edges, I feel like they would have more strong and logical Omegas and female Betas as lead roles. Therefore horror movies in the Omegaverse would just be better and more progressive. They’d have a lead female Alpha with a Beta girlfriend fending off an Omega male ghost. They’d have Beta males with a female Omega love interest, exorcising a female Beta demon out of their Alpha male best friend. Like there are endless possibilities and I think that the Verse would be the ones to just switch it up the most.
