     Weird dreams? Every waking hour was a drain thanks to the nightmares, the dreams that felt more like reality than anything else. A man in a sweater, razor-like claws and grating metal, chasing him every time he closed his eyes. Trying to kill him. It went beyond just weird.

◤✖ 𝐒 𝐂 𝐑 𝐄 𝐀 𝐌  𝐐 𝐔 𝐄 𝐄 𝐍 ✖◢                  lip  curls  in  disgust  as  arms  cross  over  her  chest .  she  should  have  KNOWN  better  than  to  go  into  family  video  on  her  day  of ,  should  have  known  WAY  better  than  to  drag  nancy  along  to  pick  movies  for  some  sort  of  girl’s  weekend  while  her  parents  were  on  VACATION  out  in  vegas .  but  she’d  thought  that  maybe ,  just  MAYBE  steve  could  be  on  some  decent  behavior  while  he  was  handling  a  midday  shift .  that  MAYBE  he’d  have  some  sort  of  respect  for  their  customers  and  would  be  trying  to  avoid  pissing  keith  off  more  than  he  already  had  and  thus  putting  her  job  in  danger  because  she’d  VOUCHED  for  him .  she  was  the  only  goddamn  reason  he  had  the  job  to  begin  with .

“ Jesus , you scared me .”  Tate nearly jumped out of his own skin , nearly lost his page in his Oscar Wilde novel . He had been so engrossed in text that he hadn’t notice that someone had found his hiding spot among the intertwining bars behind the school bleachers . At least it wasn’t a teacher . He was ditching Biology at the moment .

this isn’t nancy; not really. it’s her face, and her voice, but those words aren’t hers. this behavior isn’t hers. back pressed firmly against the cold, brick wall outside the high school, mike tries his best to stay as quiet as possible. he may not be strong or a fighter like everyone else, he knows he’s smart. he can think his way out of this to buy himself—and nancy—more time before the flayer hurts anyone. glancing around for anything to defend himself with, mike comes up completely short. there’s a discarded mop handle that’s broken and splintered, but that’s hardly useful. still, it’s something and something is always better than nothing. swiftly grabbing it, he takes a deep breath before revealing himself to not-nancy. it’s not her, but she’s in there somewhere, she has to be. they managed to reach will’s consciousness, so why can’t it be the same for his sister?

steve and barb weren’t close at all because of stupid high school status quo. he stuck to his friend and received endless shit for being into nancy, so barb was a no-go. barb was also hesitant about steve on the other side of the spectrum. he’s popular, known to sleep around, and a bit of a party animal - the exact opposite of nancy. so, why would those two reasonably work without crashing and burning? it’s an understandable concern.

the last place barb was seen before she disappeared was steve’s house. his pool, to be exact. sure, he was tipsy. and honestly, he didn’t care if barb wanted to stay or go. he’s not going to lie about any of that. he had absolutely no opinion of barb until it was too late.

now, he can’t look at that pool without a million questions running through his mind. he could have just invited her to stay inside. he could have called someone to come pick her up. he shouldn’t have left her at the bottom of the stairs. he should have done more to protect her simply because she meant the world to nancy. he should have given her a chance. if nancy loved her, then he was sure that he could grow to love her as well.

TOMMY PLACED A CHILDISH KINDA POUT ON HIS LIPS, looking up at Wheeler from where his head rest against the table. He didn’t know what it was but he just loved PISSIN’ HER OFF. Loved winding her up, gettin’ her all mad and that. That’s why he sat and questioned EVERY LITTLE THING she was doing, like an annoyin’ younger sibling. Hand reaching out to pick up whatever was around her, playing with it until he received some kinda disapproval for his actions.

“ C’MON. I’m a great helper, Wheeler. Ask Harrington. ” He commented, yet again grabbing the pen she had took off him like five times already. He had a PETTY KINDA SMILE on his lips now, meeting Nancy’s eyes. “ All this’ll be done REALLY FUCKIN’ QUICK and then you can FUCK OFF HOME, you know? So, Steve and I can have our usual guy time. ”
