Peter acknowledged Caleb when he got into the car. Peter gave him a really awkward high five. They’ve officially touched now. Hallelujah.

When Christina joined that means that Peter had to make room for her. By sitting closer to Caleb.

Peter talked to Caleb before the grand escape.

When Caleb made a note about the terrain, Peter was the one to understand what he meant.

We saw where Tris and Four slept, we saw where Christina slept. We didn’t see where Peter or Caleb slept, so no one can ever convince me that they didn’t sleep in the same box/beds next to each other.

They got the same job. Peter acknowledged Caleb’s presence again.

Peter and Caleb kept walking or standing next to each other on several occasions.

There is reasonable cause to believe they go through their morning routine together. 

Caleb knew Peter was missing from his surveillance room. After he located Four, Caleb could’ve purposefully searched for Peter and no one can ruin that headcanon for me.

Just in general this movie had more Peter/Caleb interaction than Insurgent, but the level of importance is the same. In Insurgent, while they only interacted once there,it was a conversation; Caleb talked to Peter and Peter talked to Caleb. Of course I’m still bitter that we didn’t get any Peter/Caleb interaction in Erudite, where logically most of their interaction should’ve happened with Peter always gravitating toward familiar faces in any environment.

In Allegiant the interaction was 4/5 times Peter saying something to Caleb and Caleb not saying anything back (if not counting his awkward ‘sup’ during their first interaction). Only in the last one we had Caleb actually talk to Peter, and even then it was him just telling the guy not to pick on Tris. So technically this isn’t good, but I was too busy being content that a) Peter kept talking to Caleb no matter his lack of response, b) Caleb said Peter’s name.

So... despite their interactions still objectively being “bad” I am still happy that they got something - which is more than I expected - and I still very much ship them.

Am I disappointed that we didn’t get their book interactions? Yes, absolutely. Before any trailers for the film I was still holding out hope that we would’ve gotten the “sitting next to each other on a plane” part, but sadly the movie version’s technology was so far ahead that obviously no such scene would’ve been able to take place. I also would’ve loved (as insignificant as it was) to see the two of them quietly sit together, and Peter handing Caleb paper when he needed it. ...yeah, that’s how low I’ve sunk. Handing things to each other is as good as romance.

Things are not looking good for Ascendant, since now they are separated. So unless Peter joins Fourtris side again (which he might, but I’m not holding out too much hope) then I don’t think Peter and Caleb will have any interactions in Ascendant. Frankly I don’t even think that they’d be in the same scene together.
