HOMECOMING
âCome on pick up, pick up, pick up.â Rooster chanted as he waited for the dial tone to end.Â
âBradley?â Mavericks voice asked on the other end. Rooster sighed in relief.Â
âListen Iâve gotta talk to you.â He was frantic as he spoke. But in his defense he had just had an epiphany.Â
âI figured since youâre the one that called me.â He chuckled. Bradley rolled his eyes.Â
âI know we donât talk like this often but, do you remember when I said I was fine being on my own?â He baited. The line was silent.Â
âYeah, I think I do.âÂ
âIs it ok if Iâve changed my mind?â He wondered.Â
Maverick sighed, âI mean Bradley, yeah of course itâs ok for you to change your mind about that.â Rooster looked to the sky with a now happier expression on his face.Â
âRemember when you told me I could move in if I needed to?â Rooster asked.Â
âYeah, I think I do.â Maverick stated again.Â
âCan you open your door itâs getting cold out here.â Rooster said through a chuckle. A moment later the light from inside pooled on the front porch. Bradley stood with bags in hand. Maverick stared in disbelief at the fact that he had finally gotten him back. He walked up to the tall pilot and hugged him dearly.Â
âWelcome home Bradley.â He smiled before ushering him inside.
