Need US$40 to help my dying dog to get a peaceful rest.
Hey, guys. I'm trying to get help for my dog for a while now. But I didn't get any luck. Over the last two days, my grandmother [who lives on her pension] spent R$291 taking my dog to the vet [R$70], paying for his blood test [R$150], and buying medicine for him [R$71], and I couldn't do anything to help financially. And that frustrates me a lot. He's my dog, I should be able to help.
Unfortunately, after all this, the vet said that his case is too serious and that we waited too long to take him to the doctor, and now the kindest thing to do would be to pay for euthanasia. I don't want to kill my dog, but I also can't just watch him suffer if there is a more humane option, even if it means death.
I am unemployed, and ill and unable to keep a normal job. My uncle is also unemployed, and has an old back injury so no one hires him. My grandmother's pension is the only income we have, and she can't afford to pay more to help my dog.
The price of euthanasia is R$200/US$40.
Please, if anyone can help me give my dog a dignified rest, I would be very grateful.
